How we handle your information
Last updated October 2026
The Hemlock Group is Travis Terrell's leadership advisory practice in Tennessee. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we never do with it. If anything here is unclear, email travis@thehemlock.group.
What we collect
When you email us. Your name, your address and what you write. We use it to reply and to do the work you asked for.
When you take the free Org Health Checkup. Your answers and your scores are worked out in your browser. If you ask for your results by email, we also get your name, company and email address. Our web host, Netlify, stores those form submissions for us.
When you browse this site. We use no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies. Your browser remembers one thing: that you closed the checkup card, so we don't show it again. Our host keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, to keep the site running and secure. Our fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google sees the request for them.
If you're a client using our portal at portal.thehemlock.group, we store what your team enters there so we can deliver our work together. Only your team and The Hemlock Group can see it.
How we use it
To reply to you, send results you asked for, and deliver the work you hired us for. We don't sell your information, rent it, or share it with anyone for their own marketing. We use a small number of service providers to run the business (web hosting, email, our database, and an AI assistant that helps us organize our own work). They handle your information only on our behalf.
Google account data
The Hemlock Group runs an internal assistant that can connect to a Google account only when that account's owner signs in and allows it. Today that is only Travis Terrell's own email accounts.
When allowed, the assistant reads email, files it (applying labels and archiving) and writes drafts that the account owner reviews and sends. It never sends email, deletes email or moves it to trash.
Email content may be processed by our AI service provider, Anthropic, to provide this assistant. It is not used for advertising, not sold, not used to train general-purpose AI models, and not read by anyone except the account owner and the people they work with on it.
The Hemlock Group's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can remove this access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
How long we keep it
Only as long as we need it for the reason you gave it to us, or as long as the law requires for business records. Ask us to delete your information and we will, unless we're required to keep it.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Email travis@thehemlock.group and we'll answer within 30 days.
This site is for businesses and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
